Peregrine Health Services announces partnerships with AMN Healthcare and Berkeley Research Group

The two nationally recognized leaders in specialized services to healthcare organizations will utilize Peregrine’s proven emergency department and trauma center performance improvement and interim leadership expertise.

Peregrine Health Services, LLC announces that it has created partnerships with AMN Healthcare and Berkeley Research Group that will allow the firms to leverage Peregrine’s emergency department and trauma center performance improvement and interim leadership consulting services.

Peregrine has almost twenty years of experience facilitating the implementation of best practices in more than 500 engagements that have led to improved operational, clinical and financial performance. The firm also assists healthcare organizations during executive transitions by providing department leadership and hands-on operational support. Peregrine’s origins date to 2006, as Blue Jay Consulting, later acquired by Philips Healthcare Transformation Services and now an independent firm.

AMN Healthcare (AMN) is the nation’s largest and most highly regarded medical staffing company, with more than three decades of experience and 2 million physicians, dentists, nurses and other healthcare providers on its roster. Berkeley Research Group (BRG) is a global consulting firm specializing in disputes and investigations, corporate finance, and performance improvement and advisory, with more than 1,300 employees and 40 offices worldwide.

Mark Feinberg, managing partner at Peregrine Health Associates, said that the firms recognized that their specialties complemented each other, with service offerings that provide value to each other’s clients. The new partnerships will provide bi-directional referrals, where the firms will direct their clients to each other.

“The dynamic pairing of our organizations amplifies our collective impact, bringing added value and novel solutions to our clients,” Feinberg said. “With BRG and AMN, we’re going one step further in providing comprehensive service packages that drive impactful transformations for clients.”

Peregrine will utilize AMN’s revenue cycle offerings, including case management, utilization review, and trauma registry staffing. “Partnering with Peregrine will further enhance our ability to deliver high-quality, efficient solutions to our clients,” said Tucker Turner, mid-revenue cycle client relationship manager at AMN Workforce Solutions.

BRG’s consulting services include healthcare transactions and strategy, but the firm expects to draw on Peregrine for its specialized trauma center consulting and interim leadership services. Many of BRG’s healthcare consultants previously worked with Peregrine’s predecessor Blue Jay Consulting, and BRG and Peregrine are currently collaborating on a project using a Peregrine interim leadership consultant.

“For over a decade, I’ve known Peregrine’s senior leaders for retaining top interim emergency department nursing leadership talent. For this reason, BRG is excited to partner with Peregrine as our go-to firm for our client’s interim nursing leadership needs,” said Jason Moretz, director at Berkeley Research Group. “I have no doubt that our clients will receive highly educated, skilled and competent leadership services.”

The partnerships have been crafted with each organization to keep their unique needs and bridge service gaps while fostering mutual growth. “The newfound collaborations are not just about leveraging each other’s services but also about synthesizing disparate elements to streamline processes, increase efficiency, and ultimately enhance patient and staff experiences,” Feinberg said.
